The FFSA Karting Sprint season starts in Soucy

From July 9 to 10, the Soucy circuit (89), near Sens, will host the start of the FFSA Karting Sprint season with the French Minime, Cadet and Women's Championships. 125 drivers entered this first summer event.

The revival is evident in all three categories of the program with a strong presence of new entries. The outcome of the three championships is therefore subject to undeniable suspense, especially since the selectivity of the hilly Soucy circuit is well established. The good weather announced for this beginning of summer should make it possible to attend beautiful battles under the sun of Yonne. All the conditions are in place to get the Sprint FFSA Karting season off to a good start.

Good dynamics in Minime

With 60 registered players, the French Minime Championship displays encouraging dynamism accompanied by a good level, as evidenced by the presence of the vice-Champion of France 2021 Stan Fagot (Kosmic / Iame) who does not come to admire the landscape. Antoine Grisel (Kosmic / Iame) will be there to give him the answer against other serious contenders like Leni Robillot-Lagache (Tony Kart / Iame), Jayden Soupiron (Formula K / Iame) or Théo Battisti (Formula K / Iame) . The sporting confrontation should also concern ambitious drivers like Zack Zhu (Top Kart / Iame), Lucas Bonhomme (Sodi / Iame), Mattis Brageot (Redspeed / Iame), Mael Girardet (Sodi / Iame), Samuel Hugon (KR / Iame ) and many others who have not yet had the opportunity to be noticed.

Watch out for the surge of rookies in Cadet

The top seeds in the Cadet category will have a lot to do with the rising generation. While the best of last season are mostly mounted in National, the 2nd year will not rest on their laurels. Thus Tom Sprigel (Birel ART / Rotax), 5th in 2021, has no decisive advantage against rookies with long teeth. Arthur Bec (Sodi / Rotax), Luka Scelles (Sodi / Rotax), Thomas Pradier (Sodi / Rotax) or Jules Janssoone (Sodi / Rotax) are among the elements to follow. Angelina Proenca (Redspeed / Rotax) has shown a great fighting spirit this year as well as Loan Sineya (Formula K / Rotax), Louis Baziret (Sodi / Rotax) or Clovis Nougueyrede (Redspedd / Rotax).

Women: in pursuit of Luna Cléret

The French Women's Championship field remains at the previous level with its machines in the Senior category. Defending champion Luna Cléret (KR / Iame) intends to put the cover back against Tania Cirelli (Sodi / Iame) and Mathilde Habrant (Redspeed / Iame). Angèle Grossemy (Tony Kart / Iame), Astrid Marie (Tony Kart / Iame) and Clarisse Jean (Sodi / Iame) intend to do better than last year. Caroline Martel (FA Kart / Iame), 5th in 2019, undoubtedly has the longest experience in this competition since she had already finished second in the Coupe de France in 2011.
